2024 Hwaseong Youthhostel
Inspired by the motif of a calm sea and the fluid flow of water, a communal space was proposed where the interior and exterior naturally connect. The lobby creates a relaxed circulation path reminiscent of walking along a pier, expanding into a multi-functional plaza to complete an open space where dwelling and interaction coexist. Warm beige travertine provides a calm texture resembling a sandy beach, while ceiling lighting and mirror elements maximize the sense of depth and openness through light and reflection.

잔잔한 바다와 물의 유연한 흐름을 모티프로, 실내와 외부가 자연스럽게 이어지는 공용 공간을 제안하였다. 로비는 부두를 따라 걷는 듯한 여유로운 동선을 형성하며, 다기능 광장으로 확장되어 머무름과 교류가 공존하는 열린 공간으로 완성된다. 따뜻한 베이지 트라버틴은 모래사장을 닮은 차분한 질감을 부여하고, 천장 조명과 미러 요소는 빛과 반 사를 통해 공간의 깊이와 개방감을 극대화한다.
